Details

Film canisters are almost obsolete thanks to digital cameras, but we're bringing them back in a big way with the Film Canister Explosions kit. Send canister after canister flying into the air as you experiment with chemical reactions, Newton's laws, and a sudden burst of pressure! Seriously, the flights these fizzing, popping, and bouncing film canisters will take are out of this world.

Since film canisters can be difficult to find, we've taken care of it. You'll get film canisters for flying, spacers for efficient launches, a petri dish, and Flat Fizzers that take the guessing out of your rocket fuel. If that sounds complicated, don't worry, we'll walk you through with the step-by-step, color activity guide.

DON'T FORGET! Like with all of our Sick Science kits, you'll receive a URL link and QR code to access the experiment video, as well as an exclusive Take It Further video featuring Steve Spangler!

  1. Love the delay of reaction review by Lucinda Faunce on 6/12/2014

I have done this reaction for many years with children and the spacer is a brilliant addition to this allowing children of all ages to do the reaction. Also film canisters with the measurements make the kids think and calculate and not just wing it!
