We had 18 kids ranging in age from K to 3rd mesmerized for over an hour. There were even a few older brothers and sisters who couldn't resist trying out a few things. ( making slime is impossible to resist at any age). The Water jelly crystals made four gallon sized bags, we used one of them, so we could have used less water or fewer crystals and been good. Since we had a few unexpected guests we gave each family a geyser and snow tube and everyone seemed happy. There was lots of left over snow, and there is plenty of slime even for several accidents. The worms are a great starter, there is more than enough that the kids don't mind giving up the bottle of worm goo and just reaching in to squeeze other people's creations. It also warms them up for more mess to come. The initial hesitations- am I really supposed to reach in there-faded quickly. It is good to have a large stack of towels on hand. And everyone was delighted by they geysers, even the most hardened high school student cracked a grin. I saw them!

Thank you so much for putting this party kit together, I just had a Mad science party for my 8 year old son and it was amazing. This kit was perfect and the experiments worked perfectly! I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful it was to see so many smiling faces when each experiment worked exactly as described. The instructions that accompanied this kit were well written and easy to follow. The kids could not stop smiling and all I kept hearing was "can we do that again?" even the parents wanted to participate! Thank you again and I will be recommending your website to anyone looking to have this type of party!

Great Party Kit... But...

So we just used this kit for my daughter's 6th b'day party. Over all, everything was great, however there are a few things I wish were better.
1.) The instructions weren't always very clear. Also, in some cases when it recommends using the ENTIRE contents (water jelly crystals and glow powder) it turns out to be way too much and could have achieved better results by only using a smaller portion of what is provided. I'm waiting for an entire tub of this stuff to dehydrate for future use!
2.) The slime kit lids were too flimsy and caused many leaks and a bigger mess.
3.) The slime ingredientsinstructions did not create slime, rather a hard blob in colored liquid that would break apart instead of stretch as you would expect slime to do.
4.) I wish the kit also included disposable lab coats for participants along with measuring tools.
5.) the Geyser tubes didn't all work properly, 23 malfunctioned with mentos getting stuck.
Aside from these issues, the participants all really had fun and enjoyed learning and making ooey gooey stuff. I particularly appreciated the scientific explanations that were also included in the instructions.

Made my party a huge hit

I purchased the Steve Spangler science kit for my kids birthday a party. To say the party was a hit would be an understatement. The kids loved the instant snow powder and also the glow the dark water absorbing crystals. In fact it wasn't just the kids, even the adults at the party were excited about it. The kit provided the kids an opportunity to get down and dirty with science. All in all great times were had by everyone at the party.

The instructions were easy and the experiments were fun. My now six year old and his friends have been talking about it all week. The laughter as the insta-snow expanded in their hands was priceless and the mentos geyser was great fun. They loved it all and the kit made it easy to plan.
Plus,the pictures of kids in safety goggles are priceless!

I recently purchased the Yuck Bucket and a few other experiments from your website. This was all done for my son's 11th birthday party, he is a true science lover. I had a group of 6 boys ages 10 to 11 on Saturday to my house for this science party. All the boys had great fun with the experiments. This was said to be the best party the boys had ever been to. I have told several people of your company in the last few days. What, who knew science could be such fun? I won the award of greatest Mom. Best Birthday Party EVER!!!!!!

My 12 year old daughter can't stop smiling and saying, "This was the BEST birthday party EVER!" The lucky 14 other kids said the same thing. We did several of the projects in the kit and even had a few to send home in gift bags as a bonus. Steve actually showed up as a surprize and we exploded stuff in the front yard! It was AWESOME! If you want to be "the best parent ever" plan on Steve's Party in a box for your next party!!!
