It can be troublesome (and a bit soggy) to carry around a pail of real snow, but that's not the case with the Instant Snow Day featuring our amazing Insta-Snow® Powder. The Instant Snow Day pail contains 375 grams of snow - that's enough for 8 gallons of fluffy, artificial snow that looks and feels like the real thing. It's even cool to the touch! Once you start playing with the stuff, you just can’t put it down.

Creating your Instant Snow Day is simple and fun. Just use the included blue scoop to get the perfect amount of powder in a small cup or in someone's hands and then pour 2 oz. of water over it. One! You can see the powder begin to polymerize. Two! The powder is starting to expand more and more. Three! The powder over flows and you've got a brilliant start to your own Insta-Snow Day. The clear quart-sized pail has everything you need including mixing instructions, scientific explanation and the measuring blue scoop to make sure that you mix-up a perfect batch every time!

What's included?

  • 375 grams of Insta-Snow® Powder
  • Measuring blue scoop
  • 2.5 ounce plastic cup
  • Clear quart-size pail
  • Activity guide

How does it work?

Just mix a cup of water with a scoop of Insta-Snow polymer and within seconds, the liquid turns into a solid and then erupts into a fluffy white, snow-like material (no mixing required). Watch in amazement as it instantly expands up to 100 times its original volume. It’s not sticky or clumpy like other Insta-Snow imitations. Insta-Snow is the only brand of snow polymer that actually erupts into a fluffy white powder. Insta-Snow doesn't melt, it's long-lasting, and it's even reusable after it dries out. Perfect for holiday decorating.

What does it teach?

Explore the ever-changing science of polymers as students experiment with Instant Snow. Each Insta-Snow product comes with an activity guide with suggestions for science fair projects, classroom demonstrations, experiment ideas, and fun ways to explore the science of polymers. Insta-Snow, the original Instant Snow, is an amazing polymer that turns ordinary water into a white fluffy substance that looks like real snow! It's the latest technology used by movie makers to create incredibly realistic snow scenes.

I did this experiment for the Awanas group to connect the theme of individuality that we are currently talking about in Sunday School. We have kids ranging from 3-12 years of age and they loved it. We put the snow in little cups so it could over flow as it filled up. Then we pour the snow into a bigger cup so they could take it home with them. They told me that they thought this was the best experiment ever!

P.S The adults loved this too!

The preschool children loved it. They were sorry they couldn't make a snowman from it, because it would fall apart. They called it "magic snow."

I ordered the instant snow for my daughter's snowman birthday party and it was a big hit! It was so simple to mix and make, and the kids had a blast playing with it. Customer service was great and I will definitely order again.
