Bouncing Bubble

Quick Overview

Bubble tricks sound like something made up, but these bubbles bounce, roll, and land before they burst your bubble.

Availability: In stock

There are a lot of things that make bubbles magical. From their spherical shape to their ease of floating and popping, bubbles are truly incredible. With the Bouncing Bubble kit, that little puff of air trapped in a thin soap film will bounce. What?!?! It's true! These bubbles are formulated to be stronger than normal, but would still burst if they touched your skin or the ground. The secret is in the Bubble Gloves.

That's why we'll give you everything you'll require to perform the most incredible bubble bounces, rolls, and landings you've ever seen… including Bubble Gloves! In addition to the Bubble Gloves, you'll also get pipettes, our special Bouncing Bubble Solution, and mixing cups. Oops, we almost forgot! You'll also get a step-by-step, color activity guide to guide you through the process.

DON'T FORGET! Like with all of our Sick Science kits, you'll receive a URL link and QR code to access the experiment video, as well as an exclusive Take It Further video featuring Steve Spangler!

What Does It Teach?

The Sick Science!™ series covers a ton of science from a broad spectrum of fields. From optical illusions and color mixing to centripetal force and physics, you can find a use for every experiment in the series. Each Sick Science! kit provides young scientists an opportunity to explore the world around them and engage with the properties that make science so amazing.

Science Fair Connection:

Demonstrating properties of bubbles and bouncing them is pretty cool, but it isn’t a science fair project. You can create a science fair project by identifying a variable, or something that changes, in this experiment. Let’s take a look at some of the variable options that might work:

  • Try testing different dish soaps. You can blow bubbles with different brands or try using the same brand, but with different scents! Which dish soap creates the longest lasting bubble?

  • Test different materials! In addition to the Bubble Gloves, try t-shirts, towels, pants... whatever you would like. Time the bubbles to see how long it takes them to pop!

That’s just a couple of ideas, but you aren’t limited to those! Try coming up with different ideas of variables and give them a try. Remember, you can only change one thing at a time. If you are testing different liquids, make sure that the other factors are remaining the same!

  1. Fun to pkay with but bubbles popped on gloves! review by Jerolyn Holland on 4/24/2014

We read and reread directions. Pkayed around with solution! Bubbles kept popping on gloves but did experiment with surfaces where we could blow, add bubbles and come up with very large bubbles! Bubbles lasted much longer than store bought solutions! We had some bubbles land on some surfaces and did not pop! Kids had fun but I would be interested in why ours did not work following the directions! A few bubbles did bounce! We could squeeze the large bubbles we made on the soap dishes!

  2. Wonderful customer service. review by Jeb Earl on 4/15/2014

After spending time calling and emailing to resolve my bubble issue, the wonderful Steve Spangler team was very helpful, very professional, and very nice in helping me to get the bubbles to work. This will be a great routine for my magic show this summer!!!!

  3. Does not work review by Jeb Earl on 4/15/2014

I tried several attempts to produce the bubbles with no success. ( bubbles kept popping on the glove) I called customer service which was very nice and helpful. Retried to make the bubbles bounce, still no success. Used half the bottle of bubble solution. Emailed customer service twice to get a refund or credit. Have not received a respond.
