Spangler Passion Project – the Winner!

Congratulations to our winner, Mr. Cookson from Kings Glen Elementary! You are our grand prize winner. For Mr. Cookson all of our finalists – we will be in touch with you (or the people who nominated you) by the end of the week.

Thank you to everyone who nominated and voted for your favorite teacher. Our Spangler community is passionate about its teachers!

In early August, we launched the Spangler Passion Project. An ongoing campaign that encourages students and parents to get to know their teacher and their passions.

Teacher Passion Project - Get To Know Your Teacher's Passion

We asked all of you to get to know your new teacher, discover their passion and share it with us. And you did just that!

There are so many teachers out there with passions for teaching, learning and exciting their students. We had an incredibly difficult time choosing our finalists.

All of the teachers nominated are amazing professionals who are dedicated to educating a generation. Finalist or not, all passionate teachers deserve to be lavished with respect, gratitude and pedestals. Lots of pedestals.

The finalists are below. The teacher who receives the most votes will receive a Virtual Science Workshop from Steve Spangler (a $250 value), $250 in materials and a $100 gift certificate to SteveSpanglerScience.com.

That’s a grand prize valued at $600!

The remaining finalists will receive a First Days of School Kit for their classroom along with a $25 gift certificate to Steve Spangler Science – a prize valued at $65!

Rachel’s commitment and enthusiasm is second to none. Her sacrifice in traveling overseas is admirable. To leave the comfort and familiarity of home and family to teach youngsters – how awesome is that!?

Just wanted to thank everyone who voted for Rachel. At 23 years old to even be a finalist in this is beyond amazing. Her passion for her students is second to none, and going to Kenya is just starting her goal to change the world with her teaching. Thank you again, we both appreciate it beyond words and congratulations to all the other finalists.
