Incredible Growing Peeps – Easter Science

Every year the color, variety, even flavor of those sugary marshmallow Peeps seems to multiply… I have some theories about what happens on the grocery store shelves when no one is around, but that’s another post for a different blog.  In the meantime, check out the video to see how you can torture some Peeps this Easter, just like we did.  And no, no Peeps were actually harmed in the making of this video.

    You can also do the same thing with little balloons. I used water syringes in my classroom and had the students hold the one end so air could not get out (essentially creating a vacuum)! I used this to explain Boyle’s Law. If pressure increases, volume decreases.
