In the color packs, can I pick the colors?
No, the packs are created with color mixing in mind. Our clear crystal packs are limited to being clear. The three and four packs both come with the primary colors – perfect for color mixing! The four pack does include clear as well in case you’d like to try your hand at coloring them yourself.
How long do they take to grow?
They grow in less than a day, so if you throw them in water before your students come to class, they should be ready for your little scientists to play with after lunch.

That’s a great question. I think they could help. Since the purpose of the crystals is to hold on to the water, it will help to keep the ground somewhat wet and less like to be blown away on windy days, depending on how much you use. To be fair, we have not tried this ourselves. It’s a great experiment, though!
