Squeeze a long stream of Worm Goo into the Activator Solution and you'll get Instant Worms! You won't believe your eyes as the honey-like "Worm Goo" changes into a rubbery solid the second the two solutions mix. This unique polymer formulation (no Borax or PVA used here) is safe to touch and weave between your fingers. The "hands-on science" factor is great for younger students while the strong content makes the activity perfect for upper-level students and teachers. If you love the classic "slime" activity, Insta-Worms™ is guaranteed to knock your socks off! Ages 6 and up.
You get enough materials to make about 12 meters (40 ft) of Worms!
- 240 mL of blue Worm Goo
- 12 g of calcium chloride
- In-depth activity guide
What Does It Teach?
Explore the science of building polymers by cross-linking long chains of molecules. The process of making Instant Worms is faster and easier than the classic Slime recipe and it happens the very second the two liquids mix. Truly amazing!
- Saving Worms Lives! Review by Lisa
My son and I used this kit the other day after playing in the garden. He loved finding worms in the dirt. Problem was he'd "love" on the worms a little too much - if you know what I mean. That's when I remembered that I bought this kit. We ran inside, put on our special science clothes and had fun making worms for the rest of the day. I wish I had had the video camera close by so you could hear his excitement pulling the worms out of the special solution. What a fun & unique kit! (Posted on 5/31/13)

- Instant Worms Review by Elizabeth Beckwith
Great experiment for children. Although, they only seem to be interested in it for a short amount of time....they wow factor doesnt last long...but they LOVE popping the worms then putting it back into the activator to reconnect it. They enjoyed dropping the goo in large clumps to see who could make the biggest bubble. (Posted on 5/31/13)

- Slime Birthday success Review by Fiedler Family
We had a great science party for our daughter turning 9. We had 27 children at our house and they loved the insta-worms.
The children were amazed to see what happened to this liquid upon hitting the water, they each took the worms they made home and we explained how to regain their slime-ness after they dried out. Great fun and educational tool, thank you. (Posted on 5/31/13)
- More fun than a barrel of monkeys! Review by Sherry Crann
We gave these to one of our kids for his birthday. At first he wasn't much interested, but after making one, he was hooked. He then started exploring with "variations", and had a blast. (Posted on 5/31/13)

I am letting you know that the Insta-Worms were a great success for the 4-H project that we presented for our local Duck Days in Lake Crystal, MN. The 4-H Butternut Boosters relied on your services and delivered a fun, and exciting project for our club to present to the community. Thank you for your wonderful exploration into science, that makes science fun! You're Da' Bomb! (Posted on 5/31/13)
- One of the most popular things at my 8 yr old's birthday party! Review by Michelle
My daughter is very into science this year. So it only made sense for her to have a science birthday party.
The kids absolutely LOVED the insta-worms! But with 4 kids and 5 adults, we went through the 2 bottles of goo pretty quickly. I will just be getting the larger refill kits from now on. (Posted on 5/31/13)

- Excellent in 4th Grade Science Review by Nacole Roney
My lab partner and I saw my teacher in college use this kit with the Diary About a Worm book. I immediately came home and orded it because we had a lesson on millipedes coming up in our 4th grade class we do our labs in. The children loved the idea. I hope I have enough of the worm activator powder left over to do it again in another lesson. The children were entranced. (Posted on 5/31/13)
- This was fun! Review by SaacNMama
This worm goo is a very good idea. It got my son wondering where you came up with it. I liked that it is all self-contained and not messy--measure the water into a bowl, stir the powder, and you're ready to squirt in the goo. Worms were fun and not messy. Great for birthday parties or inside on a rainy day! (Posted on 5/31/13)
- slimy worms Review by Melissa Harry
We purchased insta-worms for our son's 5th birthday party. The kids loved them! It was so simple. I had the water mixture ready to go so all they had to do was squeeze the worm liquid into the cup and they had squishy worms. A big hit! (Posted on 5/31/13)
- Insta Worm Kit Review by Chris White
My preschool class loves making insta worms. They love showing their parents their gooey worms. They love to drop just drops of the worm solution to make worm eggs. Lot's of fun to tie into some of our lessons. Also fun just to play with. (Posted on 5/31/13)
- 2 Years - Still Fun! Review by Michelle
I wrote a review a while back about how great these went over at my daughter's 8th birthday party. Just wanted to say, 2 years later the kids are still having a great time!
Whenever she has a new friend over or boredom sinks in with an old friend - out come the insta worms. We mix them with different kinds of dies (food coloring vs tablets from this website), we add that pearl swirl and atomic glow. They squirt it in spoons then dip those in water to have more control over the shapes. Pretty much let them try whatever they come up with as long as they keep it on the table for easy cleanup. So much fun! (Posted on 5/31/13)
- ewwww!!!! Review by Connie
Insta worms really got the children's attention. It is very simple to perform and the experiment happens quickly so kids can play with the worms. I had boys grasping for a chance to play with the worms. I highly recommend getting this product to experiment with. Thank you Steve for such awesome experiments and for making my 10 year old's birthday a huge success. (Posted on 5/31/13)
