Steve Spangler is the guy at 9NEWS KUSA-TV who makes things fizz, pop,smoke, erupt all in the name of making science fun. Steve's eye-catching science experiments are featured weekly on the 4 O'Clock Show and the Morning Show.

Steve Spangler joined 9NEWS in 2001 to teach viewers creative ways to make learning fun. His weekly experiments never fail to surprise his co-hosts as he launches potatoes, uses a fire extinguisher to remove ink stains or turns 2-liter bottles of soda into an erupting fountain of fun. His now famous Mentos Geyser Experiment became an internet sensation in September of 2005 and spawned more than a thousand related Mentos experimentson videos sites like YouTube.com

Steve is the recipient of two Heartland Chapter Emmy Awards and continues to provoke wonder in the minds of the committee members who review his yearly entries.
