Don't be fooled into believing the White Lightning Stick is an ordinary styrofoam tube… press the button on one end and watch it become a strobing, color-morphing, hand-held light show. It's a great addition to any party and can even help you teach about the effects of strobing lights and color mixing. It's durable, it's entertaining, and the White Lightning Stick will be a hit no matter how you intended to use it.

How does it work?

The White Lightning Stick will begin strobing its lights with just the push of the button on one end. Press the button again and the light stick will morph through its colors. Press the button again and again to see solid pink lights and strobing red, blue, and green.

The last hour before supper in the winter sometimes dragged... until I got my grandchildren the White lightening sticks. they have thought numerous uses for them.

This is an excellent tool to use for showing the spectrum of light. But, it is even better when the "White Lighting Stick" is also used. I teach 7/8th grade science and when the Lighting stick is used in conjunction with the Rainbow Glasses, it appears in slow motion. All the while, the students are still seeing the spectrum of light.


This can also be used with-- placing Light sticks (Red, Green, Blue) on a screw with a hex nut and attach it to a drill bit. Spin the drill bit and the secondary colors will appear. Using this with the glasses, creates an amazing effect.

My son bought this for some in-the-dark fun. And it was for a day, but the lights soon went from multi-color changing to just one single color, then totally fizzed. I opened it up to see if perhaps it was just a loose connection that could be easily fixed, and found that the LEDs were pulling away from the circuit board, and that the thin layer of metal that is laid on the circuit board was going with it! I could have easily soldered the leads back on the board if the metal on the board hadn't pulled away from the substrate as well - really cheap circuit board. I don't recommend this for kids who want to play with it - it's for gentle show only. I thought from the previous reviews that this would be a fun and durable item, and maybe we just got a lemon, but we were pretty disappointed.

Our lightening stick is the envy of kids and adults alike. Everyone enjoys the festive light show. We'll be using it at Halloween for sure!

When I heard our church was having a Glow-in-the-Dark party for the youth group out at our park, I instantly thought of the White Lightning Sticks. I had seen them advertised, but had never ordered them. I quickly placed my order and they arrived just in time for the party! They were a huge hit with the kids (aging from 3 to 17). We used them to play "football". We threw glow-in-the-dark necklaces like frisbees and caught them with our sticks! They are very durable, and lots of fun! The kids loved them so much, I just couldn't collect them back...I'll have to order more!

Wow! My grandkids are still entertained! I got them for July 4th and the whole neighborhood wanted to play! (Good thing I got a kit of 10) Now I am ordering them for my classroom. I'll be the favorite teacher of all TIME!
