I havve been using polymers with my students as a sensory and science activity for years. I first introduced them when I was teaching a class of one-year olds. The delight and discovery was amazing! Since then, I have introduced them in a variety of settings and have yet to find a student that isn't fascinated!
I highly recommend this item!

The water cubes were a lot of fun and grew to the size predicted when we used clear water. When we put them in colored water, they didn't get as big even using the tablets provided.

Fun, fun, fun!

My son bought these, along with the color tabs, and used them to create his own colored blocks, which he used for translucent walls in his Lego stop action movies. He's also gotten interested in the physical/chemical properties between these and slime - cool stuff!

I used the cubes in an early childhood workshop and the teachers loved the size of the cubes and how they could be used for place values in a base 10 chart. Also used for shape recognition.

I LOVE THIS!!

These are small polymer clear cubes that grow to almost 200 times their size when put in water. For this one, I enlisted the help of my 6 yr old son and 10 yr old daughter. They each got a plastic cup and dropped 3 tiny polymer cubes into the water and then we watched and waited and waited…for 24 hours. Ok, we didn’t stand and wait for 24 hours, but we kept checking the cubes quite often. The kids thought this was really fun to watch because they could see gradual changes in the cube. They now want to take the whole bag of tiny cubes and put them in a tub full of water to see what happens. I have not decided yet wether we will do it. Watch the video to see what we discovered.

These and the polymer spheres are my favorite Steve Spangler products. I recently used the spheres as a visual aid for a teen fall retreat and the students almost came up out of their seats they were so surprised. After the lesson they rushed the stage to see them up close. They loved playing with them and of course they all wanted to know where I got them. Thank you Steve Spangler for these amazing products.
