Think Ink - The Clock Reaction
A brand new chemistry for the classic iodine clock reaction
Usually ships out the next day.
Recommend for 10 years & up with adult supervision.
DOTD Sold-Out
Two clear liquids are mixed together and the audience is told to watch closely... "Don't take your eyes off the liquid or you'll miss it!" Then, in a flash, the clear water changes to ink (or so they think!). Think Ink! illustrates the amazing chemistry behind the classic clock reaction where molecules meet up and change over time to create this startling reaction. Unlike the classic iodine clock reaction from your high school chemistry class, our new Think Ink! formula uses a kitchen chemistry approach to achieve even better results. And yes... this is the same reaction that Steve Spangler shares in his live performances and recently featured on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Would be a great product if it lasted.
J Snyder - January 3, 2012
I used this product last year and the kids loved it. I am now teaching my unit on chemical reactions for this year and noticed it does not work. Same observations as another review here, the timing and trigger powders were clumped together and I saw no reaction after numerous attempts. This is disappointing as I have to purchase all of my supplies for my classroom and was hoping this would last a few years. |

It Works!
Yuri Camberos - April 12, 2011
Bought this back in December to practice with and have the kinks worked out (just in case) before I needed it in April. Well, it's April and I'm barely practicing with it today. The kit had been lying on my shelf since December and the trigger and timing powders were clumped together in the position they had been lying in all those months, but a bit of shaking and they were powders again! |

Not so good
Penny Halder - March 3, 2011
I love the concept of this idea but the shelf life is awful. The first time I tried it, it worked. The second time, we tried all sorts of ways but it didn't work again. I told the Spangler staff about it and they sent out another one. I didn't open it right away. Weeks later I did and tried it with my grand children. The powders were all stuck together and the experiement did not work. I am very disappointed in this product.

GREAT experiment!
Jenny Brown - July 21, 2010
We've used this in Children's Church several times and it never gets old. It was soooo worth the money! |
