”This is actually a review of my customer service experience of Steve Spangler. I ordered the Geyser Tube w/Depth Charge for my daughter to use in a school volcano project. I was a little annoyed with the $10 shipping fee on a $10 product. The Tube arrived without the Depth Charge piece on Saturday, so I called Customer Service on Monday (yesterday) at noon. Extremely impressed with how they handled it - no issues. Asked if it was needed for school or anything. I told them my daughter's project was due on Thursday which was only 3 days away. They have overnight FedEx'd the missed Depth Charge - arriving today. So right now - 5 stars for customer service!! “

When I initially received the products,one end of the shipping box was crushed which,consequently, destroyed one of the three energy balls. ”I just wanted to write a quick note about one of your videos. My name is Neal and I teach 5th grade math and science in Michigan. One of my students turned me on to your videos – and I have to say, they are pretty awesome! I talked to the class about the egg experiment (the one where you can hold the egg in your hand a squeeze) and they were pretty excited. Today, I had to show them how powerful the egg was, so I brought one in and told them that no matter how hard I squeezed it wouldn’t break. The first class watched in amazement and even squeezed with me. The second class got all the excitement. I squeezed once and they were impressed. As they all gathered around, I told them that no matter how hard I squeezed, it would not…and then it exploded. Twenty-seven fifth graders (and one stunned teacher) were covered in egg. I wanted to take a minute to thanks Steve for a class that none of us will ever forget.“

”Days long ago I was a registered Radiologic Technologist. It was way before digital x-rays and all the x-rays were hand developed. I worked with a doctor who loved to play tricks. One day, when I opened the darkroom door, I noticed the paper sleeve that was between the films was red “bleeding”. I figured out it was from the developing chemicals mixing with the goldenrod paper. Perfect opportunity to get back at the boss. I ran out of the room and told him I must be bleeding from somewhere, showed him the paper and tried really hard not to laugh as he was checking my hands and head for any wounds. Gotcha was an understatement!

”We love to use the “wow items” for discrepant events in our Harris Super Science Saturday (HSSS) programs. Our students of poverty are severely lacking in background experiences that new learning needs to be connected to. Fascinating material can get their attention, motivate them and fill in some of the gaps they have because of their lack of experiences.

Magic sand, lava lamps in the baby soda bottle test tubes, and melting blocks are some of the things we use and just this past week I attended 2 of our nighttime HSSS Meet and Greets and saw again the reaction of students and their families to investigating these fascinating materials.

”I bought a Wonder fly stick for my son for Christmas.  It did not work.  I called up customer service and told a very friendly lady about the problem and she said she would send another one out.  A few minutes later she called me up with some more information that I needed and was again very nice.  (I wish I could remember her name but I can't.)

Somehow, my order was dropped and I did not receive the replacement wand.  I called back a week or so later and spoke to DJ about it.  He was as friendly as the lady that I spoke to the first time.  DJ apologized over and over again even though I told him that I wasn't upset and I thought I was treated exceptionally well.  (mistakes happen etc.etc.)

My replacement arrived today with a hand written note from DJ.  In all of my years dealing with companies when little problems come up, I have never been treated so well. ( And I certainly  have never had a hand written note accompany a return!).

I would really like it if you forwarded this to Mr. Spangler.  People who are dissatisfied always seem to be ale to complain to the "man at the top".  I want to make sure that my compliment also gets to the boss.

You all do great work and it is noticed.

Thanks again for your wonderful products and fantastic service.  I really appreciate it.

First I want to thank you so much for the seminars you hold for teachers.  We lived in North Texas for a couple of years before moving to Colorado and my (now) 7th grade son had the good fortune to have as his science teacher a woman who loves science almost as much as Steve.  Whereas my son was a marginal science student this teacher with her "Steve Spangler" degree combined with her love for science instilled in my son the same love for the subject!  My son at the dinner table continues to educate us on science due to science being "his very favorite subject EVER" his words not mine.  Which now brings me to my question and reason for writing.  Is there ever going to be say a science camp in Colorado for students?

Since we are a homeschooling family that is always looking for ways to break up the monotony of everyday schooling, I was thrilled to be able to offer this Leprechaun Science Kit from Steve Spangler Science to my son yesterday.

I knew he would totally be into it, and I was right.

 As soon as I opened the box and my kids saw what it was, they were jumping up and down.  Steve Spangler Science makes learning about science really fun. My kids don’t even know they are learning, they think we are playing (shhhh, don’t tell).

[This is] a ton of stuff for only $24.95.  What I love most about Steve Spangler Science is that all their kits come with enough supplies to do these experiments over and over again. 

The Green Leprechaun Snow was a big hit with the kids and even bigger when this momma realized that once the snow dries it's reusable. 

...seemingly boring white beads were my girls' favorite when we discovered that adding a little sunlight created beautiful rainbow bracelets!

The Worm Goo was also a big hit and probably my favorite. Add a little water and some green food coloring and you have instant worms! 

”I attended Science in the Rockies 2009 and loved it! I wanted to share with you a quick slideshow of all the science we are doing here at my school. I have primarily preschool age children and 1 kindergarten class. I now show this slideshow during open house and job fairs. ”I attended the NAEYC convention in Washington, D.C. this past November which is where I was first introduced to the wonderful world of Steve Spangler. While there, I of course had to try out the bed of nails. AWESOME! But right beside the bed of nails was the display for the Insta-Snow. I couldn't believe it. I just had to get some. And today was the day that we finally tried it with our preschoolers(supervised, of course, because you never know what is going to make it into their mouths!) They were thrilled! They were amazed!
