Thank you very much for your reply--for some reason the postoffice did not leave a card in our box that the package had arrived--thankfully it was still there--my husband is a pilot with Northwest/Delta and they do a charity function called Pilot for Kids --we are in our 15th year of throwing a Christmas party for over 350 Headstart children and their families--Steve Spangler products are always a big hit and show great examples of aerodynamics for the children....and the pilots get a kick out of playing with the kids!
We are most pleased and look forward to another successful year--last year my son made a video about the event last year--it is on youtube--check it out -you'll see some of the products there and many happy faces!

The workshop was great!!! My students are loving the new experiments/demonstrations!! I have to do a presentation in one of my graduate classes next week on a math geometry unit plan that I put together. To get my peers involved in a hands on activity when I present, I am going to do the wind bag demonstration that you did (I bought a box of 100 of your wind bags!). Then I am going to have them, in groups, write a riddle for a specific three-dimensional figure and then construct it using the wind bags and rubber bands! There'll be five huge three-dimensional figures in the room! I can't wait to do it!! Have a great day!

Hey. I'm Travis R, son of Calvin R (the one you sent 2 neodymium magnets to just recently.) When he called that day about the magnets being broke, I did not know he was going to do that, let alone knew that he knew about the broken magnets. Once he told me that he called, I told him that we couldn't really get the replacement for the magnets. I knew about the policy on them and had to explain it to him, then he finally understood that his call really was his wrong doing. A few days later, I came home late Saturday night and found a box from you all with the magnets and a note. I read the note and I cannot express myself about how grateful I am for the great customer service I have recieved. I was actually going to order some more. So thanks again for the service and 2 new magnets :).

I have to tell you the story of my very first Curriculum Night, as a first year teacher. I owe it all to you! I decided to have three stations running during the 1/2 hour that my Science Lab was supposed to be open for parents. I had two of my 5th graders explaining and demonstrating your version of the "cloud in the bottle". What a hit! The parents all remembered performing this experiment with the jelly jar, hot water, a match and then ice. WOW!!!! They loved it your way!
 
In a blink of an eye my 1/2 hour ran over 1 hour. (some of use missed the Principal's talk in the Multi-Purpose room) They all want to come back for Open House for more fun!

Just when SteveSpanglerscience.com's store couldn't get any cooler.... I already bragged on the personell, but when I opened my bag of 4 windbag bags I found a note saying there were six inside. why? Just because they were all blue. (which I already knew from the order form.) This is how I like to do business. I had 234 folks at VBS last night and made water disappear. tonight I'm trying to get to heaven in a hot air balloon powered by a hair dryer. :) Thanks Steve

Hello Zarah,

Back in September you helped me with a speedy replacement order after DHL lost my original shipment.  I just wanted to thank you again for making sure I received my supplies in time.

That order was for supplies that I needed to take along to South Africa for some volunteer work I was doing with an organization called Music for Life. We ran day camps for orphaned and vulnerable children.  Thanks to you, the science rotation was the camp favourite!  I wish you could have heard the squeals of delight as they tried out the rainbow glasses and watched the solar energy beads change color in the sunlight.  The primary color mixing tablets were another favourite...I'm sure they would have mixed colors all day if we had let them. Check out the photos.

I'm already checking out the website for ideas for my next trip out there!

Steve  I recently saw you on our local TV Fox network news with the Weather/Physics sessions for the Colorado students. That's super.  Congratulations  Keep up the good works in the elementary science field.  As a retired teacher (NAWD member) I now take your activities in the since classrooms where I sub.  The kids love the experiements and look forward to may returning to their classroom.
We made snow, developed tonados plus many more activities.

I teach an After School Science enrichment program at Louisa May Alcott School in Chicago, Il. The program is called Science Sprouts.  The kids are in grades 1,2, and 3.  I teach basic science theory and always do fun experiments.  I find a lot of your experiments perfect for my group.  In one of the photos...(they were totally amazed) the three girls are looking at the snow growing in their hands. The girls are Sydney, Rowan, and Kailey. The next photo is Charlie Rolling the hex nut in the clear balloon (the room was buzzing)! The third photo was Emma blowing bubbles from the bubble gum kit.  We love your products!!!  If you have anything else you can recommend for a 30 minute activity that's totally awesome let me know.  By the way,  the other 30 minutes consists of a story related to the experiment and a snack some how related and a lab sheet that we write up.

Dear Zarah,

We had our cub camp this week.  It went extremely well.  Thank you for the tornado tubes.  They were a huge hit with both boys and adults.  We had 400 liter bottles and 200 hundred scout running around with tornadoes.  I also did the mentos and diet coke geyser.  I have never seen two hundred 8 to 10 year old boys quiet at the same time until right before I dropped in the mentos.  They were all thrilled.  We had to do it again the second day.  The adults were playing with the water jellies so much that the kids never even got a chance to. My own son snuck  several and I found them under his bed in his room in a bowl full of water.  (He's 14 and couldn't resist)  Thank heavens we had enough catalogues because the adults were also taking them.  Thank you for helping me show the other leaders the worth in buying quality items that teach.  We are all excited for next years camp.  We are doing the same type of camp for the girls in the community scheduled for Aug 13th.  The theme is "GIVE".  We will be teaching all about service to others as well as serving yourself by getting an education and using your brain.  One of the classes is "GIVE THOUGHT" .  I am going to base the whole class on science so I'll be in touch soon.  I might need some more catalogues.  We have some left over tornadoes they can play with, the water jellies and ultra violet beads.  I also found some nail polish that turns color in the sun. Dear My Favorite Science Stuff Place,
 
This most likely will be the last time I have the opportunity to communicate with my most beloved place on the internet.  I have ordered so many products for the past few years and have vastly enjoyed introducing my students to the excitement science can provide.  However, in my last order I received Gravi-Goo and this product  surely lead to my demise.  In my self written eulogy I have asked the minister to mention the incredible siphoning cool gooey action of this incredible mix and have provided cups and powder for all who attend the funeral ceremony.  The reason I predict imminent death at approximately 3:10 this afternoon is because while pouring the liquid from cup to cup to mix the solution, I spilled the entire contents onto a table top which provided a perfect spot to siphon directly onto the carpet.  Upon his entry into my classroom at 3:10, the janitor will see the mass of goo which has soaked nicely into the carpet and then he is gonna kill me!  While still living though, I went ahead and made another batch and this afternoon, well before 3:10, we are going to play with that stuff like crazy!
 
A possible suggestion into the packaging of the gravi-goo - include a huge plastic sheet for accident prevention.  :)

I wanted to thank you for the wonderful products on your website.   I have twin daughters in 4th grade and each did their own project.   One daughter used the UV beads from Steve Spangler Science to test different SPF sunscreens.   She won first place at her school for the consumer science category.   The other used your small alligator grow animals to test what type of water they would grow best in- salt, distilled, tap and sugar.   She won second place at school in the physical science category.    The girls went to the Austin Energy Regional Science Fair over the weekend.  Both came home with 1st place ribbons!!!   Yes, winning is nice but seeing the girls so excited about science was priceless!!   They are both looking forward to next year!

Dear Sir or Madam:

I teach a science club at our local elementary school.  Last week we made Cartesian Divers.  Somehow during our discussion about why the diver floats or sinks, we got into density.  So this week we made your density tower without the alcohol.  The kids loved it.  They wanted to see what would happen if I really stirred it up.  They were very surprised at how quickly it separated out into layers again.  I also put a couple different fluids in various baby bottles that I could seal.  The children enjoyed shaking those up and watching them separate back out.

Thanks for the ideas.  They were a success with this group of 5th graders.

I have to say I was very happy with the shipment of stuff I ordered, as well as the handling by your staff.  It arrived in time for the party, even though it was a rush shipment.  I was especially pleased with the Mentos experiment you added in.  We used that as the finale for my son's 6 year "science experiment" birthday party with great success and baby soda pop test tubes were perfect for sending home with the kids as mini lava lamps.

Dear Steve,
Jake and Gavin had an awesome Glow-in-the-Dark birthday party. After the dry-ice demo. and boo bubbles, we started in with glow powder blobs. Then we made atomic worms. We ended with some Alien Atomic Slime. The kids loved the mini black lights they got as party favors. As you can see in the pictures, we attached them to lanyards along with some glow-in-the-dark beads, and a test-tube name tag.

Both of the boys LOVED the gift packages you sent!!! That was too amazing! Thank you soooo much.
I especially loved the birthday cards you wrote! I will be keeping Jakes forever!

On a side note...
My students are crazy over the giant microbes. I got the whole set a few months back with some grant money. We are now studying germs, so I hung them from the ceiling. The kids are going nuts over them. We make agar tomorrow...Let the fun begin...right???

I received my order yesterday!!  Even with the severe ice/snow in the East and the weekend in between, the package arrived earlier than scheduled.  And, the best part is the products will work perfect for my 9 year-old daughter's science fair project.
 
Also, thanks for the bonus energy beads kit AND the science experiment ideas that accompanied the kit.  My other daughter is thrilled to have her own experiment to work on!

You will be happy to know that I'm using all these hand boilers as a learning tool.  I teach middle school science to some very poor kids who are also from desparate family circumstances and a gang neighborhood. Mostly they are low readers. In an effort to get them motivated, I've randomly asked students to give me all 5 characteristics of a mineral (the chapter they are learning), and if they get it right, they get a hand boiler. I'm amazed at the kids who can do it! I'm even getting kids who aren't in my classes coming up to me with the right answer. They have to say: A mineral is a naturally occurring inorganic solid with a crystal structure and a definite chemical composition.... and they have to know what that actually means. This from kids who can read maybe at the 3rd grade level. We're learning about rocks next, and this batch will be prizes for answering questions about the rock cycle.
Sooooo, you are helping to do a very good thing!

I just wanted to tell all of you guys thank you, again, so much. We celebrated my son's birthday outside, and each child arrived with test tube in hand (we had scrawled their invitations in lemon juice and placed them, along with directions for kids and parents inside.) They decorated their lab coats we had fashioned out of old T-shirts and then proceeded on to their experiments. We made the cartesian divers (complete with the hair trick), did the snow, made their own "lava lamps," and then blew off film canister rockets. They had so much fun and many parents asked about where to find your products..and you'll be happy to know we even had your catalog on hand! It was magical and amazing. Of course his favorite part came at home, at the end of the day, when it was time for presents. You guys absolutely outdid yourselves when you sent that wonderful card with the Test Tube Adventures Kit. I cannot possibly thank you enough for thinking of him. The very idea that "his science guy" would know his birthday and send him something just sent him over the moon! I use mail order frequently, and I hate it when a product arrives defective or damaged. It is generally the begining of an unpleasant journey. I know that my first challenge will be to successfully negotiate the company's automated phone tree system. When I reach the correct department and spend 15 min. on hold waiting for "the next available representative", I can only hope beyond hope that my representative can speak intelligible English. Then there is the inevitible disagreement about whether my replacement item will be shipped prior to the return of the defective unit, and the discussion of how the defective unit will be returned.

I recently received your fog bubble generator with a damaged lid. Uh-oh. But you cannot imagine my joy (and shock) that my call was answered by an actual person (at least she seemed real....I guess she could have been a very sophisticated robot). I held the phone to my ear in utter disbelief as Zarah apologized sincerely for my misfortune and assured me that a replacement would be shipped out immediately. A few days later I received the replacement just as promised with a bonus item and a personal note apologizing once again.

Who ARE you people? You have obviously been very poorly trained in the various ways to stick it to the customer.

I had previously purchased the kit with a variety of test tube projects for my daughter. We decided to make snow the other day, I then brought it to school to show my new student who has only been in the USA for a few weeks. He thought it was really "cool" and so did the other children. At least he got the idea without the mess or hassel of a true snow storm.

the geyser shoot the soda many feet into the air, as well as eat the Mentos

Obviously, this email is going to you because I don't have a clue as to where else to send it, and I'm dying to let you all know what a great part you all played in my very successful First Family Science Night!  Our school is 4 years old, mostly Hispanic, 93% free/reduce lunch population so, we do not get a lot of parental involvement.  We had 309 people attending and 104 were parents!
We had the Museum's traveling Planetarium as one of our rotations, so that too helped.  I quickly found out that not all the parents were going to go in the Planetarium and I didn't want them to just sit there, so I pulled my air bags (Thank you, Brian! the shipment came two days before the science night!) and pretended to be Steve.  The parents enjoyed it, especially when the principal tried to blow the bag and I showed the hole at the other end!
 
We did snow and color crystals also.

Thank you so much for helping me throw such a memorable party for my son!  The experiments were amazing and the kids had fun while learning that science was fun.  Some liked the Airzooka more or the Insta-snow but everyone liked the geyser the best.  At the end of what seemed to be a long day, my son turned to me and said "thank you for the best party ever".
