Ghost Science Kit
Kids are naturally curious about their world, eager to learn about the things they can see and especially the things they can’t. Whether or not supernatural forces truly exist is up for debate, but you can entice young scientists with experiments that will spark their imaginations. That’s the thrill of real Ghost Science.
The Secret Life of a Ghost
While experimenting, you’ll see ghosts appear and disappear like magic, while exploring the science behind the experience. In this kit, you’ll discover dehydrated ghost eggs that appear when you add water. Ghost eggs are invisible, but you can feel them touching your skin when you dip your hand into the jar, if you dare. By adding just a few drops of glowing dye to the water, the ghosts reveal their whereabouts. If you’re looking to take the lesson to another level, you can use this ghost kit to inspire your students’ imaginations and use it as a writing prompt. No experiment with ghosts would be complete without vanishing ghost poop. That’s right — in these experiments, you’ll make ghost poop disappear and, as a consequence, learn why ghosts make great pets. This kit is guaranteed to be a hit during Halloween or any time of the year.
What Does It Teach?
Use the ghost theme to explore the science of optics, index of refraction and glow-in-the-dark properties. Your students will be amazed when they drop ghost eggs into water and watch as the eggs vanish like magic. The experiments are simple to set up and easy clean up. This kit requires strict adult supervision. We haven’t forgotten about the new STEM and STEAM initiatives you’ve been hearing about at school and efforts to bring science, technology, engineering, art and math together to inspire future thinkers. Our Ghost Science Kit activities can help kids achieve these initiatives and encourage curiosity about the world around them.

I’ve been meaning to write a review about this kit all year. It was definitely the hit this year! My students absolutely loved the ghost eggs. I teach fifth grade and while doing a memory book to capture their fifth grade year this was mentioned as one of their favorite activities of the year. It was so fun to hear that their favorite activity of the year was ghost eggs! Awesome fun that they remember all year long and hopefully for the rest of their lives! Thanks so much! Hope to do this during my summer camp!

I bought this for a halloween party and then gave the kit to my daughter who is a third grade teacher. When my daughter’s third grade class made an end of year top ten list of memories, the “ghost eggs” made the list.
