Teacher as Blogger – Sharing recipes, experiments and passion for teaching science

David Mayer is on the road to becoming a great teacher. He’s an undergraduate student at Boston Universty majoring in Earth Science, and he spends his summers teaching science to students ages 5-11 at a day camp called Camp Summer in Connecticut. He just launched his website and is filling it with teaching resources and fun experiments for kids to try at home. Be sure to check out his recipe for Rock Candy.

David is just one of many teachers (okay, a pre-service teacher in his case) who are becoming bloggers. In the weeks to come I want to share examples of teachers who are blogging at all levels – K-12 and above. If you’re a teacher blogger, please post a comment and let me know. I sense a “Blogging for Teachers” teleseminar being offered in the near future. Any interest?
