  1. Thanks from the UK

    ”Hi Steve

Having finally (just about) returned to some form of normal sleeping/working pattern, just thought I'd drop you a line to say a huge thanks again for the fantastic MOSAIC course. As ever, I came back genuinely inspired! I can't help but wonder what goes through your mind when you see a rubber filler bulb and think, "I know, I'll use that to fire a ping pong ball using a small gas explosion!"- Genius! I already have children begging me to explain how I can magically swing a bottle by a piece of rope!

Please also pass on my grateful thanks and very best wishes to the team - they are such a fantastic group and worked so hard to ensure we all had a great time.“

  1. Spreading the message ...

”The entire MOSAIC experience was great !! I left Colorado and headed back to Ohio with the science "virus". Taking that energy, passion, and knowledge, I used it to write a $5000 grant titled "Science is V.I.R.A.L. (Valuable Investigations Reaching All Learners). This grant partnered my fifth grade scientists with 2 kindergarten classes in the school. Using various polymer learning experiences from Science in the Rockies and Mosaics, my 5th graders taught the K-scientists & their parents science process skills. Quality science literature and writing skills were integrated into the lessons. This grant was definitely a highlight of my 30 teaching career !!“

  1. I'm Wowed

”Wow! You not only taught us how to use and get “wows,” but you instilled them into everyone. Honestly, one of the top 3 workshops I’ve ever attended. From the time I arrived I felt welcome and comfortable in the environment. It’s simply a great springboard for me as an administrator. “

  1. Only 1 Thing Could Make It Better...

”I can’t imagine how you could make Mosaic any better! You had magic tricks coupled with leadership building activities and out of this world organization for it all. I’m surprised you didn’t throw in a complimentary massage. Speaking of…next year?“

  1. Everything Was Perfect

”The entire experience was phenomenal; every detail of it was on point. From the clean, comfortable hotel room to the demos and activities that taught me how to tie my experiments to the real world, I wouldn’t trade Mosaic for anything. GREAT!“
    — Mosaic Participant from 2008

  1. An Irreplaceable Workshop

”Although I don’t consider myself a picky person, I wouldn’t change a thing about the workshop. The activities were fantastic, the room offered plenty of opportunity to spread out and learn together, and there was a SUPER lunch buffet! There’s no doubt in my mind that my future science activities have just gained a new level of fun and inspiration.“

  1. A Teacher Training Must

”I had a fantastic time. I feel like I was able to learn more easily with the small crowd and great demonstrations. I’m going to have a much easier time doing teacher training now that I have all these fun, educational ideas to utilize. Thanks Steve!“

  1. Exactly What I Had Hoped For!

”I came to the conference to be motivated and it happened within 10 minutes of being in the room. The atmosphere was great and incredibly conducive to a learning environment. And on top of the stellar conference, the hotel was great with a helpful staff! Don’t change a thing!“
    — Mosaic Participant from 2008

  1. Fun and Great Hospitality

”The location was fantastic, the room was great and at a perfect temperature (which is a rarity for events like this), and everyone at the event so was wonderful and accommodating. It was just a great event!“

  1. Science of Leadership was AWESOME!

”After attending Science in the Rockies, I wasn't sure how you were going to pull off something even better, but you did. Originally, I thought that I was limited to doing science demos and experiments that only tied to my curriculum, but you really opened my eyes to finding creative ways to build connections to all areas of learning (and the key is using science as a vehicle). While I enjoyed the entire workshop, I have to say that the Science of Leadership section was my favorite. I loved the idea of using cool science demos to teach and illustrate leadership principles. As a Student Council sponsor, I've found the demos to be a great way to attract interest in our projects and to keep the kids motivated. Sometimes I wonder if the kids are showing up for Student Council or just to do some fun science. The best part is that our members go back to their classes being able to use the demonstrations to explain our project goals and to inspire kids to get involved. In other words, it works! “
