SQUIDY is also available as a classroom kit which contains enough materials to make 30 SQUIDY divers. Now everyone can take home their own "science pet."
This version of the Cartesian diver is cleverly disguised as a colorful squid affectionately called SQUIDY. Squeeze the plastic soda bottle and SQUIDY swims up and down in the bottle of water. Children can't help but ask, "How does that work?" The illustrated instructions show how to construct the Cartesian diver and explains the scientific principle behind its action. Recommended for children ages 6 and up.

- So Entertaining! Review by Pinksummerfun
This made the simple dropper/nut much more visually appealing for my kids. They really loved that they had a pet "squid" in their bottle. As my oldest son stated, "It is really awesome!" Highly recommend this product! (Posted on 5/31/13)
- PRE-K use for squids Review by Dawn Elchin
As both a parent of a 4 year old, and high school physics teacher I was afford an opportunity to do a science day for my son's pre- k class. The squids and ketchup provided an inexpensive hands on activity they all loved. I had used the Cartesian divers in high school, but the said jackets really made it fun for the four year olds. I used them as part of a three station rotation between demonstations. (Posted on 5/31/13)
- Squidy rocks! Review by Marlene Thomas
Again I look live a genius in the eyes of the kids! Thanks to Steve Spangler Science and all of the fantastic experiements he shows! I had the kids make their own "pet squid" during Ocean Week here at school. They love it! The project was easy enough for the youngest to do with very little help and the older kids were on their own. Watching their faces when they first saw Inky move on command and then when we discussed the reason it happened, priceless! (Posted on 5/31/13)
