You won't believe your eyes as you stick these tiny polymer crystals in water. First, they slurp up all the water and grow to the size of an ice cube, but put them in water again and they disappear! How does it work?

It looks like an ordinary cup of water, but reach in and you'll find a bunch of invisible ice cubes. Disappearing Ice vanishes when submerged in water. They do so because they have an identical index of refraction with the water.
