Leaks...
jj - June 26, 2011
I bought these cups for the kids to make slime in, however, when they shook the solutions in it, the cups leaked. They really need better lids that have a tighter seal. Otherwise, don't call them shaker cups. They are cute though and once the slime turned solid the leaking was no longer an issue. |

Lids Don't Fit Easily
MargieS - May 21, 2010
I ordered these cups for my son's 9th B-day party. He is having a glow slumber party and we are making glow slime and a glow borax mixture in these cups. The cups are very nice. They are sturdy and don't break when you drop them. However, the lids are very flimsy/thin and difficult to get onto the cup. They bend easily when you are trying to seal the cup. These shaker cups are made for children. If I child doesn't get the lid on tightly, when they shake their cup, the contents will go flying! Most of the kids needed adult help getting their lid on correctly/tightly. My 11-year-old son even had difficulty helping with this. I love Steve Spangler Science materials, but I expected higher quality lids. |

Convenient cups
JL Herndon, VA - November 9, 2009
I got this for my child's birthday party to make slime. It is a convenient way to distribute the slime solution and allowed the kids to bring home their own slime. The covers are a little on the filmsy side though but that allowed the kids to easily close the container to shake the slime mixture and then open it to play with the slime. The slime experiment was definitely the hit of the party. |
