We’ve found a new obsession at the Spangler Science offices... solar robots! We’ve brought you solar cars, solar frogs, even solar grasshoppers, but now, get ready, for the coolest robot we’ve seen. The Solar Orangutan actually travels hand-over-hand on the provided “vine,” just like a jungle creature climbing through the Rainforest. Children get to build this lovable primate piece-by-piece, then put him in the sun and watch him go! The Solar Orangutan is an exciting new way for children to get excited about the possibilities of solar power. Recommended for children ages 10 and up.

What does it teach?
