If miniature black lights aren't cutting it and you're tired of the restrictions of massive backlights then it's time you checked out our Handheld Black Light. Powered by 4 AA batteries (not included), the Handheld Black Light is light weight and mobile but powerful enough for larger experiments. No more fidgeting with the electric cord on big black lights. This black light is ideal for classrooms where mini black lights don't have enough power and large black lights are just too bulky.

Good light, but not battery life.
Mrs. K. - September 26, 2012
I got brand new batteries for this light and used it during 4 classs -- collectively, probably about an hour total. The batteries were totally worn out by the end of the day. The light started bright at the beginning of the day, but were completely drained by the end of the day. I dislike that part, but the best of the features were grea.t |

Cool Black Light
Chris White - March 19, 2012
This is a good black light for a classroom. I work in a preschool classroom and we used this black light with our atomic glow. The kids loved it. |

Very good

Have this blacklight for 1 year now, felt a couple of times and still working and no borken parts. I even took it to my messy classroom, felt about 3 times there and still fully functioning. It is fun to look for fluoresent things and play with it at night when sleeping (as i do :D) |

Great black light!

This black light was perfect to use with the glitter bug lotion. It is the perfect size to be able to store in my classroom. |

SO convenient
Rachel - March 21, 2011
So this hand held blacklight was so awesome. It is great to have a blacklight that is hand held and battery operated. The keychain blacklight was weak and couldn't cover enough area. The blacklight that has to be plugged in gets hot really fast and isn't easy to transport. This is the perfect solution! The kids love to use it, carry it around, and observe the germs on their hands from the glitter bug potion hand lotion! What a match made in heaven. |

Handheld blacklight
Donna Stillman - February 25, 2011
While the blacklight will make the UV Reactive beads change colors, I was expecting them to be more intense. The light is not very powerful, even with brand new batteries. |
