The 18" (46 cm) tall, reusable Giant Butterfly Garden is the perfect habitat and environment for young entomologists to raise butterflies. Lightweight, durable construction makes for easy hanging and displaying as you watch the remarkable butterfly metamorphosis. See-through mesh with zippered entry allows easy access for care and feeding, and keeps butterflies inside until you set them free.

Mail-in your butterfly coupon to receive 10 live caterpillars. Once you receive your caterpillars, they'll eat the food you give them until they're ready to continue their life cycle. These crawly little insects will then hang upside down and wrap themselves in chrysalides. Finally, your caterpillars will emerge as beautiful butterflies. That’s not all! In addition to witnessing the butterfly lifecycle right before your eyes, you can compare the stages to four lifecycle figurines. Each stage is represented!

How does it work?

You can order your caterpillars online, or by mailing in the enclosed certificate, and you will receive two cups of 5 caterpillars each. Both cups also include nutritious food to keep your caterpillars healthy! Once your caterpillars arrive, release them into your pop-up habitat to eat and grow. They can end up ten times their original size!
 
Eventually, your caterpillars will hang upside down and shed their skins, forming chrysalides. After time has passed, the caterpillars will break through their chrysalides and emerge as beautiful butterflies. Enjoy them for a couple days, then release them into the wild!

Notice! This kit doesn’t contain any live insects, but contains a mail-in certificate for the live critters. Please allow approximately 3 weeks for your larvae to develop. Available only in the Continental U.S. and Alaska.

Shipping charges for larvae are applied at time of coupon redemption.

Please note: Your critters will be shipped live, so if the weather is extremely hot or cold, caterpillar delivery may be delayed.
