It’s a pretty regular occurrence these days at the Spangler Science offices to find our customer service representatives typing away from inside the Butterfly Bungalow. We just can’t resist the amazing experience of being surrounded by beautiful butterflies, recently hatched from their cocoons! The Butterfly Bungalow takes the metamorphosis experience to a whole new level. Raise your own Painted Lady Butterflies from larvae to cocoon to butterfly, then, climb in the sturdy Butterfly Bungalow tent for up-close observation of your creatures. This experience will leave you wondrously amazed at the world of butterflies! Recommended for children ages 4 and up.

**Please Note: Butterfly larvae can only be shipped within the Continental USA and Alaska. Since your caterpillars are living creatures, they cannot be shipped during extreme temperatures, so if your area is experiencing especially hot or cold weather there may be a delay in shipping. There is an additional $5.00 shipping charge for 6-10 larvae and their food, which you will include in the mail-in certificate to receive your larvae.**

What does it teach?

The Butterfly Bungalow allows you to experience the butterfly life cycle, from caterpillar to butterfly, up-close and first-hand. In addition to a fun lesson in biology, children will learn how to treat animals kindly and with respect when they step inside the butterfly habitat and observe the critters they have helped to raise.
