Usually ships out the next day.

Recommend for 6 years & up with adult supervision.

Our new favorite slime product is now available in a class size kit. You won’t believe how irresistible our slime is now, with a special florescence ingredient added to create an eerie glow. In normal light, our Atomic Slime seems to glow as it is squished and stretched… put the gooey concoction under a black light and it positively shines! Just mix the borax solution with our specially dyed PVA, turn off the lights and break out the black light. Watch in wonder as this your students clamor to be the first to touch this eerie, oozing slime.

The Atomic Shaker Slime Kit includes everything your students need to make their own batch of glowing slime. Everyone will laugh with excitement as they use cups and lids to shake up and mix the perfect potion. This is the perfect slime for Halloween, but is sure to amaze and excite any time of year. Recommended for children ages 6 and up. You can purchase more Mini Black Lights on our site, or our large black light.

You get enough materials to make 24 - 1 ounce portions of slime, maybe with a little left over...

What's included?

  • 24 - 4 ounce cups and lids for shaking up the slime recipe
  • 1-liter bottle of Atomic PVA solution
  • 500 mL of Borax
  • 2 Mini Black Lights

What does it teach?

Slime is a great way to introduce your class to the chemistry behind cross-linking solutions. The long-linking chains of molecules in the PVA are called polymers; the Borax solution acts as a cross-linking agent for these polymers and helps the chains connect. Slime solution is also a great illustration of what scientists call a “Non-Newtonian Fluid”… when you apply pressure it forms a sort of solid and breaks. When you let it flow like a liquid it easily stretches. All of these science secrets are made even better with the addition of our special coloring agent that fluoresces under black light. When the energy from the black light “excites” the fluorescent dye, you end up with a brightly glowing, very exciting, ooey, gooey experiment! (For the full glowing effect, you will need to purchase a large black light.)

A Steve Spangler Halloween for Third graders!! Children loved making a making and playing with the Atomic slime, prepackaged Blue lights were handy (I did carry Blue Light lamp separately). The cups enclosed were very sturdy and the instructions clear.
Polymer chemistry was a worthy mention on commencement of Slime Making.
we had the Screaming Balloons trick + Dry ice in a pumpkin. Comments from children included "This is soo much better than Trick-or-Treating".
Thanks Steve, and carry on your good work of making Science fun for children.

super easy and fun to make with a group of kids ranging in age from 4-8 at a birthday party. It was a big hit. Just make sure the kids shake it long enough to make it more "solid" and not gooey.
Would also like the name of the chemicals on the bottles to make it easier to tell them what is being mixed. I know it's on the materials, but at a bday party, it would just be easier and simpler.

We used the Atomic slime for a 8th grade field trip to our education facility. The students and teachers were very impressed. We are always looking for age appropriate crafts/experiments and this was great!

Great product with lots of "kid-appeal". Love the cups and lids. Kids had a blast shaking the slime under blacklight to the tune "Shake, Rattle, and Roll"!

Leaky lids!!!

We used the slime kit for my son's 6th birthday party. It's a good thing that I tried it out before the party started. The individual containers that came in the kit were really nice. However, the lids were really flimsy thus causing leaks. We had to shake the containers outside. Otherwise, I would have had fluorescent splatters all over my house. The kids loved the slime though.

This was a very exciting experiment we did with a birthday party full of 6-7 year olds! They all loved it! The only down side--we didn't have a black light handy. I am sure you could purchase one, though, for the full effect. Nice product though! Love the shaker cups it comes with. Makes it very easy to measure and create!

We used the atomic shaker slime at our son's Mad Scientist birthday party. The boys thought this was so cool, especially when it glowed. We gave out Mini Black Lights, too. They worked well to see the glowing. The shaker cups made it so easy to do.

Great Product!

Awesome party activity and favor for our "Blacklight Party". While the boys were making the slime, I was talking to them about the science behind it, when one of the boys piped up and said..."Hey, are you trying to teach us science here?"

The slime was easy to make and fun for the class. My only complaint was that I bought the $29.95 kit because it said it would make 30 slimes. I barely got 20 out of the kit and the kit gave 24 cups. I followed the directions and put 2 ounces of the PVC, but it didn't make very much. That was upsetting because I could have bought the $14.95 kit and got just as much.

GREAT product! Lots of fun!

I bought this for my son's fifth grade class Halloween party instead of the usual "craft" project. The kids all loved it! I had a few thank me for bringing this because it was "so much better" than coloring or painting. The kids really did enjoy making goo, then touching and saying "Ewww!" in a good way. :) Thanks for making it a hit at the party!

It's slime time!

I purchased the atomic slime to enhance my daughter's 6th birthday Halloween party. We waited until it was dark and then broke out the slime! It was easy to make -- the girls had a blast shaking it up parade style. When it was all in a glob we switched on the large black light and ooohhhh ahhhhh! Definitely the hit of the party and a great favor to boot!

I brought a class set of atomic shaker slime into my 6th grade science class for a fun celebration activity at Christmas. I had the kids model liquid molecules and then link hands to model the "cross-linking" that occurs with poylmer molecules. I then passed out supplies and had each child make their own polymer slime. IT WAS AWESOME!
