We’ve added a special dye to our best-selling Worm Goo to make slimy worms that glow brightly under black light. And, you can even get this exciting, hands-on experiment in a class size kit. Just mix the Worm Activator with water, squirt in the Worm Goo, turn on a black light and wait for the oohs and ahhs to begin. The Atomic Worm Goo looks like liquid light when it touches the Activator solution. The Atomic Worms Classroom Kit includes everything your students need to make their own slippery, slimy worms. Kids and adults, alike, will be mesmerized by this delightfully gooey science adventure that is perfect for Halloween, but great anytime of year! Recommended for children ages 6 and up. What does it teach?

Atomic Insta-Worms is a great way to introduce students to the chemistry behind polymers. Worm Goo is a long chain of molecules called a polymer. When the Worm Goo comes in contact with the Activator, the goo immediately changes from a liquid to a solid! That’s because the Activator acts a cross-linking solution that links the long strands of polymers in the goo together. All of these science secrets are made even better with the addition of our special coloring agent that fluoresces under black light. When the energy from the black light “excites” the fluorescent dye, you end up with a brightly glowing, very exciting, ooey, gooey experiment! (For the full glowing effect, you will need to purchase a large black light)

We wanted to do science "tricks" for the neighborhood. Children aged 6 and up could chose trick or treat. One of our tricks was making these worms. Great fun for all and even the parents got excited.

Used this as a "WOW" factor on the first day of summer school--worked like a charm! Easy to execute-- just added a bigger black light to accommodate a few students at a time to hurry up the wait time.

I used this last week with my 4th grade class as their fun inquiry lab for Halloween. It was a hit. The kids had a blast learning about polymers and making worms and worm eggs too. Even with 20 kids and quite a few rounds, there's still plenty of worm goo left for more demonstrations.

these were easy and fun to do with a group of kids ranging in age from 4-8 at a birthday party. For me, it would be great if the scientific names of the "ingredients" were on the bottles themselves. It would have been more "educational" if I could use the correct names instead of "this potion and that potion."
Would buy again, though!!!

We teach a homeschool science co-op to lots of elementary age homeschoolers. Our last class was about polymers. We often use Steve Spangler products and the Atomic glow worms were yet another fabulous, fun learning experience. This product is great for a classroom setting because it is instant, very visual, and results in lots of "ooooos and aaaahs." We baggied-up the glow worms for the kiddos to take home to play with and show their parents. The kids truly have so much fun playing they don't realize they are having school!

Did this one for my son's 9th Mad Scientist Birthday Party and the boys loved it. This one goes fast though, they didn't spend a lot of time on it.

I have now incorporated Atomic Worms with my Halloween demo day. I also use the Dry Ice Bubble Machine - it is a big hit in my 9th grade Physical Science classroom!!!
