Graduated cylinders provide accurate measurements of small volumes of liquid, and enable kids to calculate the density of liquids for their science experiments. Try combining a little vinegar, baking soda, food coloring, and a squirt of liquid dish soap in a graduated cylinder and what do you get? A lot of colorful goop and a room full of ooohs and ahhhs!

It was a beautiful day, so we took the 'measuring volume' lesson outside! We used a variety of containers, included several sized beakers to 'see' volume from different perspectives.
