Egg Shrinking Amazement

To see how small an egg can get w/o a shell.

Materials

- 1 cup vinegar
- Water
- Clear corn syrup
- Paper towels
- Measuring spoons
- One regular raw egg
1. Take one egg and put it in a cup.
2. Put vinegar in the cup using measuring spoons; in a small size cup you need appropriate. 11 tbs.
3. Leave the egg to soak in the vinegar for 3 days - at the end of the 3 days observe the egg.
4. At the end of the 3 days wash the egg in water and wipe it clean of residue with a paper towel.
5. Now, soak the egg in the clear corn syrup for another 3 days.
6. Observe again - do you notice that the egg is small and shriveled?
7. If you want you can soak the egg in water overnight after the egg is shriveled from the corn syrup. You will notice that it will become bigger again.
8. Have fun doing the experiment!

Observations

I discovered that eggs are pretty amazing and have many parts and can do many things.

How does it work?

There really is only one discovery and that is that eggs can shrink and change sizes!
