Cornstarch Walk on the Ellen Show
Steve Spangler teaches Ellen DeGeneres how to walk on cornstarch and water
As a kid, you probably mixed up a batch of Oobleck
- the classic science experiment using cornstarch
and water. The people at the Ellen DeGeneres Show liked the
experiment, but they wanted something just a little bit bigger. The
new material list called for a large, heavily reinforced tank, a
few hundred gallons of water and 2,500 boxes of cornstarch. Oh, did
we forget to mention the last ingredient... a cement truck. The
Cornstarch Walk on Water segment went down as one of Ellen's
all-time favorite bits.
The original air date was February 13, 2008.

Ever since my son saw Steve on the Ellen Show forever ago he has been insistent that his next birthday be MAD SCIENTIST! I just ordered my supplies from your website and know his 6th birthday will be wacky, yucky, and memorable. |
