Steve's son, Jack Spangler decided that it is just too hard to pour soft drinks by turning a 2-liter bottle of soda upside down. The bottle is just too heavy. So Jack decided to use the power of Mentos and Diet Coke to fill 6 glasses at once and solve his problem.

Materials

  • PVC Pipe
  • Hex Nut
  • Strong magnet
  • One baby soda bottle
  • Two tornado tubes
  • Bottle of soda
  • Roll of Mentos
  1. Get PVC pipe at the hardware store and cut it down to one long piece for the top and seven shorter pieces.
  2. Attach the pieces together
  3. Paint the contraption
  4. Cut the end off of a Baby Soda Bottle and attach each end of the Baby Soda Bottle to the tornado tubes.
  5. Put a magnet on the outside of the Baby Soda Botltle tube, drop the hex nut in the tube and put the magnet on the outside of the tube. The hex nut sticks to the magnet. The hex nut will block the Mentos until you are ready to drop them in to the soda.
  6. Fill the middle tube with Mentos
  7. Screw the Tornado Tube/ Baby Soda Bottle on to the soda bottle full of soda and attach the other end to the contraption
  8. Place 6 cups under each open tube
  9. Pull the magnet away from the hex nut and hold on tightly to the contraption
  10. Watch the Mentos drop, mix with the soda and the reaction between the soda and Mentos will cause an erruption. The cups will fill quickly with soda.
  11. Enjoy your soda with 5 friends
