Availability: In stock

Everyone talks about the weather, from meteorologists to people chatting over coffee, but what is all the buzz about? Help children understand fundamental principals behind environmental science, weather, and climate with the amazing Climate and Weather kit. Children will perform 23 different experiments that explore the science behind one of the most dynamic and interesting fields of science. Your young scientist will be armed with the knowledge to understand the importance behind weather patterns, climate change, and more with this terrific kit from Thames and Kosmos.
Scientists will build a model of Earth and its atmosphere and use it to conduct experiments taht show how the global winds work, trace air currents from the poles to the equator with wisps of smoke, and model ocean currents. This is all in addition to weather-based experiments like learning about how the suns effects daily weather and seasons, the affect of carbon dioxide levels on temperature, and how the water-cycle changes things. The amount of discoverability offered through the Climate & weather kit is incredible!
Like all of the kits at Steve Spangler Science, the Climate & Weather kit isn't just a box full of experiments. With tons of hands-on activities and an easy-to-follow, 48-page activity guide, this global warming-themed kit aims at engaging young scientists. In the end, young minds will experience the science in the Climate & Weather kit, not just go through the motions.Recommended for children ages 10 and up.
