Tips and Planning

Our Glow-in-the-Dark products offer such a wide array of activities that you could probably plan to spend three or four days doing just glow activities! With that in mind, each of the glow items comes with an extensive activity guide that will give you lots of activity ideas. Your activity guides will also guide you through the entire process... from set-up to clean up! Listed below are our favorite glow activities, but we understand that each group is different, so make sure to use your imagination and choose the projects that will suit your children the best.

Almost every activity for your Glow-in-the-Dark Party requires a black light. We recommend the long-sized black lights that are widely available during Halloween. If you are not having a party during Halloween season, party stores usually carry a large assortment of black lights year-round.

Glow Party Fun!Atomic Glow

Atomic Glow can be used to color almost any water-soluble substance (it is, however, non-toxic but not food grade). Remember, though, that Atomic Glow will only GLOW when it is under a black light.

Atomic Worms

Atomic Worms are a must-have for any Glow-in-the-Dark party! Just set up your materials before the guests arrive and you will be ready for a slippery, slimy, ooey, gooey, glow-in-the-dark good time! When you mix the two materials, kids will squeal with delight as a slimy “worm” instantly appears in the water! The only thing that could be cooler is worms that eerily glow under a black light. After the worms are made, each party-goer can take home their favorite worm creation in a plastic zipper-lock bag.

Atomic Slime

Atomic Slime is our classic slime recipe in this new amazing slime color! Just like our Atomic Worms, shine a black light on the slime and it will glow an amazing color! For easy mixing and transportation after the party, we recommend using Shaker Cups and Lids for your slime. However, if you would prefer, you can mix your slime in plastic cups with stirring sticks. Then, put each child’s portion in a plastic bag for them to take home.

Glow Powder

Glow Powder, unlike Atomic Glow, glows in the dark after it is charged by light (like a black light). Glow Powder will not dissolve in any liquid like Atomic Glow but it is a great additive to lots of your favorite activities. Glow Powder can be added to Slime and Worms (even the Atomic variety) for a whole new look.

Glow PowderTry sprinkling Glow Powder over some hydrated Water Jelly Crystals. Then, let each child stuff the crystals into their own Baby Soda Bottle test tube. Now they have their own glow stick, tube or fireflies or whatever else they can imagine! If you don’t have Baby Soda Bottles, don’t worry, each child can mix their own glowing crystals in a zipper-lock bag.

You can also add Glow Powder to substances like glue or paint and have party guests paint their own glowing masterpiece on black construction paper.
